Gather supplies and preheat oven to 400F. this is a Taco pie version of taco bell's new Dorito taco

Cook your ground beef until it is no longer pink. I use lean ground beef.

once the beef is brown, stir in the water and Taco seasoning mix until it thickens.

Drain the excess water.

Spoon the beef into the pie crust.

I like to make two pies so my hubby has lunch for work the next day! There is plenty of meat :)

Flatten out your meat and add cheese.

Add sour cream. I use fat free since I can't tell a difference but use whatever you want an how much you want. I like enough to cover the top evenly.

Top it off with crushed Doritos. If you don't like Doritos top it off with crushed tortilla chips!

I suggest adding more Doritos than you want so you can take off some of the ones that burn while in the oven. I personally don't like black Doritos :)

Bake from 11 to 14 minutes until crust is lightly browned.

If you have any burnt Doritos, take them off, let cool and serve with your favorite side. I chose taco rice :) enjoy!
